- Most of us would agree that the majority of the things we see, read, or hear about in the media seem more about promoting the negatives rather than the positives. It can at times make you feel like that's all there is, but thats not true.
- Everyone of us knows someone in our lives that has done something that reminds us (however infrequently it may seem) that there are good things happening, and some very great people making them happen.
- This blog is about reminding everybody about our hero's. So if you've got a story to tell, or a hero in your life you'd like to let everyone know about, here's your chance. Post your stories in the comments section so we can start putting out some good news and balancing out the universe... Click on the comments, and get a dose of something postive today. I know you need it. I sure do...

My hero is my grandfather, who fought a long hard battle with cancer, and held on for 15 years. I send all my love to him and to all who are facing that kind of battle , and are giving everything they've got and more...
Awesome question! I brought up the same topic on my own blogger. :) My personal hero is Jesus. We do not deserve internal life with Him, but He paid for our sins so that we could have forever with Him. (John 3:16)
But it doesn't stop there. When I was two-years-old, doctors found a brain tumor that was the size of my dads' hand. They said that I wouldn't live past eight years if that. Although I was yung, I knew that everything was going to be ok. Even when I was sick from the Chemo Therapy treatments. I hadd a chance to make a wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but I didn't. I knew that someone else could use it more than I could. I was going to survive. How I knew this? Well, i believe God was with me every step of the way.
I asked Jesus to be my personal Lord and Savior when I was about five-years-old. things were not easy after that, but I felt like I didn't have to worry at all.
When I was about 12-years-old I went in for another check-up on my tumor, and the doctors said that it had shrank by 65%. :) I didn't have to worry at all! No more growth, and if it were to grow again, and if I were to die from it overtaking my brain, I knew that I would get to see the one who loves and cares about all.
Jesus is my one and only hero. He is mighty to save! (Zephaniah 3:17)
Although we may turn our backs on Him, He will never turn His upon us. :D
"Thank You Jesus for Your unconditional love!"
My mother has been my hero for most of my life!
She lost both her father and husband in the same year but, thankfully found what she needed to keep going in her local church. From that point she raise us 3 boys on her own.
She made our lives her focus and would often do with out to let us have what we needed. We could not afford all we wanted but we got what was needed. She made certain to foster our imagineations so that we knew how to make our own fun with what we had.
Five years ago she burried her baby boy {my younger brother} and went through some health issues of her own that could have driven a lesser woman around the bend. Told by her Doctor's that she was diabetic, had ostioparosis {pardon the spelling} and Bells' Palsy all in one year was much.
I believe her faith and love for us keeps her going. She has been a rock for me over all these years.
She still keeps my spirits up as i deal with my own health issues from this past year.
You are the Best Mom!
Mark
